There Will Come Soft Rains
20” x 30”. LushLino™. My daisy-grass design is inspired from a poem by Sara Teasdale (1884 to 1933). She envisioned an idyllic post-apocalyptic world in which nature continues peacefully, beautifully, and indifferently after the extinction of humankind. Ray Bradbury wrote a short story (There will come soft rains) based on her poem. His, is a futuristic story that follows the activities of an automated house after its human residents have been obliterated, most likely by a nuclear weapon. I’m not trying to be a downer here, as I love Bradbury, and the idea that nature will continue beautifully inspired me. Verdantly printed on vinyl. My designs can also be YOGA /runner size (24 x 72).
